Week 21!

And I am over the hump! Only 19 weeks to go from here. AH I just freaked out a little bit because 19 weeks doesn't sound that long but 5 months sounds too long...oh well. Again, nothing much exciting going on here, we still haven't done anything with the room or bought anything else fun. Today I tried counting all of the times I felt the baby move to see if I can tell what her sleep/wake schedule will be like during the day/night when she is born. Well according to my calculations, this kid is going to be awake at 8 am, 10 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 6:00 pm, 8:00 pm, 12:00 midnight, and 4 am. haha great. Hey kid, I don't think our schedules are going to mesh well together. haha just kidding! I will adapt. I know it takes babies a while to adapt to a schedule that is pretty much opposite from the one they are used to in the womb. I don't have a picture of myself yet, I know sorry for the disappointment. But here is your Week 21 picture and fun facts!
Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.

Hmmm..interesting!
This Friday the 20th (also my mom's birthday), is our next and probably last ultrasound so hopefully we get some good pictures of the baby. I hope she is awake this time so we can see her move! We'll keep you updated.

  1. Wow! She's already the size of a carrot? I guess you are more than half way along. She moves a lot. Is she dancing around in there?
